FlowPay Banking app

Fintech

Overview

FlowPay is a mobile banking app designed from the ground up to simplify everyday financial management.

Most banking apps try to do everything at once, resulting in cluttered dashboards, complex navigation, and users who don’t fully understand their financial state.

This project focuses on the opposite approach, reducing complexity and designing a system where users can instantly understand their finances and act without friction.

The problem

The core issue was not missing features, it was overload.

Traditional banking apps present too much information at once, forcing users to process complex data even for simple actions. This creates confusion, hesitation, and unnecessary cognitive effort.

At the same time, financial products carry a high level of emotional weight. If the interface feels unclear or overwhelming, users lose confidence and trust.

  • dashboards overloaded with information

  • key actions hidden or not clearly prioritized

  • too many steps for simple tasks like transfers

  • users struggle to quickly understand their financial state

  • lack of clarity reduces trust in the product

The goal

The goal was to design a product that makes financial interactions feel simple, predictable, and trustworthy.

Instead of adding more features, the focus was on reducing cognitive load and helping users immediately understand what matters.

  • make financial data easy to scan and interpret

  • reduce friction in core actions like transfers and payments

  • create a clear and predictable navigation system

  • design an experience that builds user trust

  • ensure the system can scale as new features are introduced

My Role

I worked on this project end-to-end, shaping both the product structure and the interface.

I defined the core user flows, structured how financial data is presented, and designed the key screens including dashboard, transactions, and payment flows.

Alongside that, I built a scalable design system with reusable components to ensure consistency and support future growth.

The goal was to create a product that feels simple on the surface, but is supported by a strong and flexible system underneath.

Outcome

The result is a banking experience that feels significantly easier to understand and use.

Users can quickly assess their financial situation, complete actions with minimal effort, and navigate the app without confusion.

By reducing cognitive load and improving clarity, the design helps build trust and confidence in the product.

The project resulted in a complete product concept and a scalable system that can support future features and growth.
