Overview
The Norwegian Gymnastics Federation needed to modernize their platform and improve how users navigate across disciplines, events, and organizational content.
The existing website had grown over time without a clear structure. Information was fragmented, navigation was inconsistent, and users struggled to find key sections such as clubs, events, and national teams.
The goal was not just to redesign the interface, but to rethink the structure and create a system that could scale with the organization and support future updates.
The Problem
The core issue was not visual design, it was information architecture.
Content was spread across too many disconnected pages, and there was no clear logic connecting different sections of the platform. As a result, users had to rely on guesswork to find what they needed.

The goal
The goal was to simplify the structure and create a clear, scalable system that makes navigation predictable and easy to understand.
Instead of adding more pages, the focus was on organizing existing content under a unified logic and building a foundation that can be extended over time.

My Role
I worked on this project as a product and UX designer, focusing on structure, navigation, and system design.
I redefined the information architecture, designed the core user flows, and created the main pages that define how the platform works. Alongside that, I built a scalable UI kit and design system with reusable components and layout patterns.
The goal was to deliver not just a redesign, but a structured foundation that an in-house designer can easily continue working with and expand over time.
Outcome
The platform becomes significantly easier to navigate and understand.
Users can find information faster and move between sections without confusion. At the same time, the internal team gets a structured system with reusable components and clear patterns, making it easier to maintain and expand the platform.
The redesign creates a strong foundation for future growth, allowing new pages and features to be added without breaking the overall experience.
